Tipper Trailers

A tipper semi-trailer (sometimes called a dump trailer) is a type of semi-trailer designed for transporting loose materials such as sand, gravel, coal, or construction debris. The key feature of a tipper trailer is its ability to be tipped to unload the materials it carries.

Types of Tipper Trailers:

  • Rear Tipping: The trailer tips backward, unloading from the rear.

  • Side Tipping: The trailer is tipped to the side, unloading materials in one or both directions.

  • Three-Way Tipping: The trailer can tip to both sides and the rear to unload materials.

Capacity: The size and capacity of a tipper semi-trailer can vary widely depending on its design and the materials it is intended to carry. Armatech can produce U-type or Half-Pipe model tipper semi-trailers. Our tipper semi-trailers are manufactured using HB450 or Hardox TUF500 materials, with thicknesses ranging from 4 mm to 10 mm. Our tipper trailers are equipped with BPW or SAF axles, air or mechanical suspension, and EBS braking systems.

Applications:

Construction and Demolition

  • Material Transport: Tipper trailers are widely used in the construction industry to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, soil, and crushed stone.

  • Debris Removal: They are also used to haul debris from construction or demolition sites, where easy unloading is essential.

Mining and Quarrying

  • Bulk Material Transport: In mining and quarry operations, tipper trailers are ideal for transporting heavy, loose materials such as ores, aggregates, and minerals.

  • Dumping Over Rough Terrain: The ability to dump materials from a height makes these trailers particularly useful in mines and quarries.

Agriculture

  • Grain and Fertilizer Transport: Tipper semi-trailers are commonly used to transport bulk agricultural products such as grains, fertilizers, and animal feed.

  • Crop Residue Transport: They can also carry plant residues or other agricultural by-products for disposal or redistribution.

Landscaping

  • Mulch, Soil, and Rock Transport: Landscaping companies use tipper trailers to transport and unload large quantities of mulch, soil, rocks, and other materials to job sites.

  • Garden Waste Disposal: These trailers are also suitable for transporting green waste and other biodegradable materials.
